Chawan Tea Bowls for Sale
A Chawan (茶碗; literally "tea bowl") is a bowl used for preparing and drinking tea. The Chawan originated in China and began being imported to Japan between the 13th and the 16th centuries. Many types of Chawan are used in East Asian tea ceremonies. In modern times western countries have popularized Chawan. Macha tea is often the tea of choice for Chawan. My Chawan often reflect the rich history of the art form, celebrating wabi-sabi: the beauty of imperfection and transience. My Chawan may also be used for soups or as rice bowls.
